Georgetown Cupcakes comes to Bethesda

Living in Maryland and don’t want to make the drive to Georgetown for cupcakes? Well Georgetown Cupcake scored a second location in Bethesda. Federal Realty signed Georgetown Cupcake to lease 1,276 square foot in Bethesda Row (4834 Bethesda Ave.) It looks like Georgetown Cupcake will keep its name despite of its location in Bethesda. Expecting to open this Fall.

MTV’s The Real World Finally Coming to DC!

With a few years of rumors that MTV’s hit ’90s sitcom The Real World  was coming to the Nations Capital turns out to be true! News confirms that The Real World house is located at 2000 S Street NW. in Adams Morgan. Although this place is blocked off due to heavy construction, you can see telcom installations on the roof, alot of rennovations to the house and construction workers working at an incredible speed!

 

According to D.C. government documents, the property is valued at $5.69 million (that’s the proposed 2010 assessment). The house was purchased on January 1, 2001 by DLB 20th LP.

Here Comes the Buddha

Buddha Bar a ultimate restaurant experience is coming to DC.  The Paris-based Asian-French restaurant and bar, created by George V Entertainment has leased 9,400 sqft restaurant space in the Mount Vernon Triangle area.  This site will be larger then Las Vegas’s Little Buddha (7,000 sqft) but smaller then New Yorks Buddha Bar (15,000 sqft).  Expect it to open late ‘09.
