Avon Walk for Breast Cancer Fund Raiser & Party

This Friday, bosoq is hosting a party at Lotus Lounge to help raise funds for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer (www.avonwalk.org). The funds will go to the Avon Organization, not one particular participant, in hopes that this give others a chance to walk who were not able to raise the required $1800.
The Avon Walk in DC is taking place on May 2nd and 3rd, with 1,000+ participants.
The party will offer drink specials, table service, and great people. Proceeds at the door will go to the Avon Foundation by way of Kristen Murdock and all who support.
So, grab your friends, come to Lotus on Friday, get your pink wrist band at the door, and party w/ bosoq et al the rest of the night!

A word of caution to the promoters, the charity and most importantly the patrons donating funds for breast cancer at this event. It’s a well-known amongst DC promoters that this nightclub group, is notorious for advertising charity events at its venues, while the promised donations from said events never make it to the charity.
It would be nice to always see a 3rd party accountant or firm hired and also advertised for these type of events to oversee the donation process.
I agree James. I would like to see a 3rd party to have some #’s generated to see how much is actually donated to the charities.
